Why Every Bride Needs a Wedding Planner

Posted on February 01 2019

Congratulations! You're engaged! This may be the most exciting time of your life, a wedding is on the horizon. Many people have probably asked you if you've set the date or picked a venue. As much as you are exhilarated, you may be stressed about all of the details that go along with wedding planning. Do you need help organizing? Do you need someone to play the buffer between you and your mother-in-law? For those and so many other reasons, a good wedding planner can make your big day all the better.

Take some tension off the planning. Here are ten reasons why you need to hire a wedding planner.

  1. Stay on budget. Who knew flowers were so expensive? Weddings come with many costs (some hidden, like tipping the catering staff). A planner will uncover all of the necessary expenditures.

  2. Maintain the schedule. Your wedding might be a year away. That's plenty of time to book a venue, right? Not always. Many places book up quickly. Your planner will give you deadlines so you don't miss out on anything important, like sending a save the date or selecting a DJ.

  3. Recommend vendors. Your planner has been in the industry and knows who will deliver. They can suggest the best makeup artists and musicians to you.

  4. Coordinate with vendors. Imagine the day of your wedding. Do you want to be worried about the cake arriving on time or if the photographer found the entrance to your venue? Probably not. Leave that stress behind because a wedding planner will take it on.

  5. Get creative ideas. You've probably spent a lot of time on Pinterest picking out florals. But did you know that you could do a wedding with minimal flowers? That's the beauty of a planner, they'll share ideas you never knew existed.

  6. A friendly ear. When you need someone to talk to who isn't part of your family or inner circle, your wedding planner can give advice or listen.

  7. The main mediator. Sometimes families can take the fun out of wedding planning. If your mother and mother-in-law don't get along, a wedding planner can smooth tension and keep things calm.

  8. Handle the little things. If you decide to give out party favors or make welcome gift bags, a planner can put them together and deliver them to your guests. Minimal work for you!

  9. Extinguishes fires - without you knowing. Not every wedding day is perfect but that doesn't mean you need to know about it. Your planner can fix issues without bothering you while you're getting dressed.

  10. The day-of authority. Just because you're the bride doesn't mean you want to be in charge. The planner can be the point person for anyone with questions or concerns.

A wedding should be about love, romance, and commitment. Don't let stress take away your fun. Hire a planner to make the planning and event the way you always dreamed.
