5 Wedding Planning Tips: Building a Bridal Party

You've done some of the wedding planning heavy lifting: selected the date, a venue, and maybe an officiant. Good job! Now comes the fun part, selecting your bridal party. You could send a text inviting a friend to participate, but where's the joy in that? There are loads of cute and creative ways to ask your maid of honor and bridesmaids to stand up with you on your special day. Here are five of our favorite ways to pop the question.

Give Them Something to Wear

Everyone loves a cute, personalized tee. You can customize this shirt with your bridesmaids' names in a shade that matches your wedding colors. Consider something a little extra special for your MOH. Write to each member of your bride tribe a personal note and include it with the shirt.

Host a Bridal Brunch

Gather your crew at a restaurant or your place. Decorate with your wedding colors or bridal party schwag. Treat them to bubbling Champagne cocktails and hearty, delicious eats. At your bridal shower, bachelorette party, and wedding day, your friends will speak about you. This is your chance to speak about your friends. Tell them how much they mean to you and why you want them standing beside you at your wedding.

Give Them Bling

Who doesn't love a little sparkle in their life? Gift your squad with some personalized jewelry. Customizing the piece shows extra effort and attention to detail. Your bridal party can wear them on the wedding day or to the bachelorette party as part of your squad.

Send a Package

If some of your bridal party is out of town, you can make them a bridesmaid invite package. Write a personalized note and include some treats like their favorite sweets and a personalized tumbler. If you create t-shirts for your entire bridal party, make sure to include one in the package.

A Thoughtful, Cost-Effective Approach

For a budget-friendly option, go with a message from the heart. Buy some stationery and go old school with a hand-written note telling your friend why it would be your honor to have them in your party. There are also inexpensive bridesmaid invitations that could have a similar impact with a personalized note on the reverse side of the invite.

Joining a bridal party is a commitment. Your tribe will support you throughout the wedding planning process. Before your friends shower you with love on the road to your big day, propose to them in a creative, loving way.
